Made Again collects nothing.

There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no server of ours. Your book lives on your iPhone and, if you use iCloud, in your own iCloud account. We cannot see it.
Your book
Recipes, cooks, notes and photos are kept on your iPhone. With iCloud on, they are also kept in the private database of your own iCloud account, through Apple’s CloudKit, so they come back on a new phone. Apple’s iCloud terms and privacy policy cover that storage; nobody else can read it, us included.
Sharing with your partner
When you add your partner, the book is shared with them through iCloud, and both of you can read and change everything in it. Nothing else on your phone is shared. A shared book is kept in the iCloud account of the person who shared it.
Either of you can stop at any time: whoever shared the book with Stop Sharing, the partner with Remove Me. The names in the book come from the iCloud invitation, or from what you type in Settings.
Listening while you cook
When you capture a recipe, or turn on the ear in cook mode, the phone turns what you say into text with Apple’s speech recognition, on the phone. Nothing is recorded, and neither the sound nor the words are sent anywhere. The microphone is on only while you are capturing, or while the ear is on in cook mode.
Camera, photos and Reminders
The camera is used for a photo of a recipe card or of the plate, and to read a recipe code from another phone. Photos stay in your book. Made Again sees only the photos you pick. It adds ingredients to your Reminders when you ask it to, and reads nothing back.
Timers, Siri and widgets
Timers are alarms set on the phone. Siri, Shortcuts, Spotlight and the widgets are answered on the phone from your own book.
Sending a recipe
A card, a link, a code or a PDF goes only where you send it. A recipe link carries the recipe inside the link itself; it is not uploaded anywhere.
Tips
A tip is a purchase through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles the payment and tells us nothing about who you are.
Crash reports
If you choose to share analytics with app developers in the iPhone’s Settings, Apple may pass on crash reports from Made Again without saying who you are. Nothing else is gathered.
This website
No cookies, no analytics, no scripts or fonts from anyone else. The site is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard access logs, such as IP addresses, to run and protect the service.
