Help with the book.

How do I start?

Tap Cook something new and cook as you always do. Say what goes in and what you do with it, and tap New step between steps. Tap Finish when you are done, look over what it heard, and save it to your book.

You can also tap Write it to type a recipe, or photograph a card with the camera at the top of the book.

How do I add my partner?

In Settings, under Your partner, tap Add your partner and send the link by Messages, Mail or AirDrop. When they open it on their iPhone with Made Again installed, the book is theirs too, and whatever either of you cooks shows up on both phones. You both need to be signed in to iCloud.

Where is our book kept?

On each of your phones, and in iCloud. A shared book is kept in the iCloud of whoever shared it, so its photos count towards that person’s iCloud storage.

How do we stop sharing?

Whoever shared the book: Settings, Your partner, Manage sharing, then Stop Sharing. The book stays with you. The partner: Manage sharing, then Remove Me. Your own book is still there.

Timers don’t ring with the phone locked

Made Again rings its timers as alarms. If you said no when it asked, cook mode shows “Allow alarms”; tap it and turn Alarms on for Made Again in the iPhone’s Settings.

Does it speak Icelandic?

Yes. The whole app is in English and Icelandic and follows the language you choose for Made Again in the iPhone’s Settings. For now the phone listens in English, because Apple’s speech recognition does not yet understand Icelandic.

How do I back up or move our book?

In Settings, under Export and import, tap Export your book. It makes one file with every recipe, cook and photo. Open that file on another phone, or use Import a book, and it is all there.

What does it cost?

Nothing, and it stays that way. If you would like to, you can leave a tip under Settings, About. It unlocks nothing.
